Duality at Digital Impact

Type

Exhibition, Installation

Location

Disseny Hub, Barcelona

I was invited to participate in Digital Impact, a group show at Disseny Hub Barcelona that aimed to bridge the gap between the digital and physical, making digital art more accessible to the public.

For this exhibition, I presented Duality, a site-specific installation comprising 6 chapters. This series of audiovisual contemplations explores the union of opposites, and the fusion of opposing forces intertwined and connected.

A crucial element was the sound design by Eaton Crous, who crafted frequencies which are both meditative and intense, amplifying the symbiosis of contrasting elements and invoking a visceral connection between the audio and visual.

The other exhibiting artists were:
Lowkeymoves, Josué Ibáñez, Field, Random International, Refik Anadol, Quayola, Six N Five, Domestic Data Streamers, Brendan Dawes, Futuredeluxe, State, Universal Everything, Alba Corral, Estudi Antoni Arola.

6 Chapters

Duality is an interrogation of my body of work following months of self-reflection—questioning its purpose, its meaning, and my creation process. What emerged was an acceptance that I may never fully understand the 'why.' It’s a feeling and emotion that I express through the synchronicity of audio and visual, bound by the tension between light and dark, order and chaos, minimal and maximal, strength and fragility, the known and the unknown, impermanence and the illusion of permanence.

From this common thread I extracted 6 chapters, resulting in a 24 minute long generative artwork that was captured in real-time and edited into a rendered format for display over the 3 months long exhibit.
